Hotel La Suite Kobe Harborland
Kobe,Kobe - View on map
"The hotel itself is sited right next to the water. 5 minute walk to the Mosaic Plaza and 1 minute walk to the city look bus stop 1. I have to say the location couldn't be better. We booked for a deluxe King room and the moment we stepped into the room was amazed. The floor to ceiling window looked out to Kobe tower, the pier, the sea and the Mosaic Plaza. The room is huge and there's a small Japanese room with tatami inside the big room also. The best part is the bathroom with a huge round Jacuzzi with Kobe tower view through the window. The room also offers a large selections of amenities includes face masks, bubble bath powder, bath salt, hand and foot moisturising socks and gloves and etc... It's our anniversary trip and the hotel prepared special sweets and fruity cocktail in our room. The breakfast was the best breakfast I have ever had in a hotel. It's a huge set course with fruit juice, soup, salad, yogurt, 8 types of bread, your selection of egg, sausage and tea or coffee. Everything was delicious and they even packed the bread we couldn't finish for us to take away! Strongly recommend everyone to book the hotel with breakfast, totally worth it! I totally enjoyed every minute inside the hotel. The best in Kobe. "

Kobe Portopia Hotel
Kobe,Kobe - View on map
"Basically, this is a top tier hotel. No complaints at all. Totally worth the money for any occasion. We were able to book a hotel room during the Japanese Golden Week holiday and it worked out no problem. The one little draw back is that you have to be aware of the tram that connects mainland Kobe with the island the Portopia sits on. If you are in Kobe to party and miss the last train, you are in for quite the walk or a cab ride that will cost a few thousand yen. Nothing major, but slightly annoying, so I knock it down one star. Incidentally, road runners pack your shoes because running around the island is great! Flat, but you can really run for quite a bit. Good for stretching the legs and keeping in shape. Shoppers, you are around the corner from IKEA! Nuff said. "

Kobe Minato Onsen Ren - Adult Only

" This is my first time to kobe and am so glad that I had chosen this Hotel, will definitely recommend this Hotel to everyone. It's one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed, great onsens especially the one on the second floor, very thoughtful amenities for elderly and disables e.g. benches in lifts and even push trolleys for guests to carry food at buffets. Sumptious breakfast and dinner were served plus beautiful view of the Harbour perfected my holiday. I will switch base from Osaka to Kobe for my next visit to Kansai."

Hotel Crown Palais Kobe
Kobe,Kobe - View on map
"As I booked hotels quite late, most Kobe hotels were full though I originally wanted to book a hotel near Sanomiya. But it turned out to be a good experience since the location is excellent, just minutes away from JR Kobe station by passing through the underground mail. The nearby is very quiet with walking distance to Harborland and Anpanman Museum. However I’ll still recommend to stay at Sanomiya if having many luggage since Sanomiya is the traffic hub."

Ryokan Kaigetsukan
Awaji Island,Kobe - View on map
"The ryokan was not as nice as the photos. It wasn't the same as promoted at all. Normally it will appears slightly different but this too my surprised it was totally different. It wasn't located right in front of the beach. You basically have to cross a street to get to the beach which it's not in the picture. Thats not the main point. The Japanese room was fully booked that time. So we got ourselves a standard room. Surprisingly it looks more like a business hotel room. And with that price, its way too much. I dont mind paying a lot for nice ryokan but not business hotel. The other side of the ryokan was main street and kindergarden. You can imagine whats gonna happen it you were in standard room that facing the school. Overall facilities was good and food was good. "

ANA Crowne Plaza Kobe

"the ana crowne plaza hotel kobe is connected by a covered walkway to the kobe shinkensen (bullet train) station. it is also connected to a subway station a few floors below the surface and to shops and restaurants. the hotel is beautiful inside and out and located at a higher elevation looking down on kobe and just next to the mountains. i had beautiful views of the city, harbor, verdent islands and the mountains from my standard rate room. the hotel has a nice large pool and small but nice and well equiped fitness center. there is a small outdoor track with a rubberized surface on a ledge outside the fitness center with spectacular views. juse outside the hotel one can take a tram up into the mountians. Hotel Ritz Koshien
Koshien,Kobe - View on map
"The room was big, with plenty of room to relax and spread out our stuff. The bed was big, soft, and comfortable. Included in the price of the room was a drink per person, per night, as well as breakfast. Breakfast was a choice of western (rolls filled with salad, coffee) or Japanese (rice, salmon, pickles, eggs, salad, miso soup). The food was delivered hot to our room at the times we requested. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. Amenities were of surprisingly good quality; the shampoo/conditioner/soap was pretty close to the quality I use at home, which was a nice surprise for a hotel. They also had a humidifier available for borrow, which we used to counteract the drying effect of the air conditioning, which was nice. The only thing that took away from our experience was the fact that it was very obviously a love hotel. I suspected this before going, and I have no problem using a love hotel as a regular hotel(hence why I booked anyway), and they seemed to be making an effort to transition to regular hotel. However, the lighting panel being behind the bed might be convenient for wooing your special someone, but it was pretty inconvenient when we were just trying to go about our day. The red bathtub was a little tacky. There was also a moment where the top layer of bedding (which was pristine) shifted to reveal a stained mattress underneath. Overall it left a kind of sleezy impression of an otherwise perfectly pleasant experience."

Arima Grand Hotel
Arima,Kobe - View on map
"We booked a japanese style room with dinner included for a night. The facilities were top notch and they provided shuttle services to and from the hotel so that was very convenient. A great selection of food was offered at the breakfast. Customer service was beyond what I expected. We accidentally left our iPad at the hotel and fortunately it was returned to the front desk. Ms. Fukuda at the front desk was extremely helpful in arranging to ship my iPad to my next hotel (we were visiting various cities) so that we didn't have to travel all the way back to Arima with luggages to pick up the iPad. She even contacted my next hotel to notify them again. The level of customer service provided was phenomenal and I was very grateful that I received my iPad in time before my flight back home. Thank you very much Ms. Fukuda :)"
