"Location, price and charm make this place highly recommendable in our opinion. we'd stay there again no worries. We stayed at red court inn several times and stayed in dorms, twin room and king room. All of the rooms were well presented in charming old penang style. the bunk rooms are solid and very comfortable. actually all the beds were lovely. all rooms have aircon too - very important! the bathrooms are all shared but it feels fine - they are clean and the showers are good. The wifi is reasonable and there is a comfortable common area on the ground floor to lounge in and watch a movie or have a can of expensive beer (beer in malyasia=very expensive). there is also a computer there for guests to use. the free breakfast is very basic just a few bananas a bit of watermelon and white bread to toast and eat with jam. But don't let it worry you - go across the road to the vegetarian place and get an excellent cheap breakfast there. Red cout inn does have some pretty steep stairs though so if you have knee problems or any other reason to avoid stairs then please be warned!"

"It was out first time in Penang, Malaysia and we saw a lot of people recommending this place and so we booked our stay. The location was just perfect, it’s near most of the restaurants and food options. The staff were very nice to us especially in helping us navigating Georgetown. It’s also near the party place so we really had fun!"

"we stay at ymca penang hotel cause near with the island hospital, you just walk to go the hospital, it's very convenience. the staffs also very kind, the food that sell in this hotel extremely cheap, clean, free ice cube. i think this hotel quite oke if your family stay on the island hospital, and you need to take care them. value for money, location is very near with the hospital, room & hotel condition is oke for this money."

"Wassup hostel is seriously one of the best hotels in Penang. The staff was quiet friendly and we also had a great time. The room was clean and although we wanted to use the stuff for washroom they did provided it on time. The best part was that they had a pool and it was neat and clean although there were children swimming in it but still it was clean. The gamming/playing area was also wonderful it was also amazing. I could have easily talked to my family there. The best thing was that they had a bus station behind the hotel and they also had the mall and all the other facilities near as well and we could easily go there and have fun and also do our shopping. The security was also amazing we had left our room keys out of the room in night and nothing happend. One of the best place in Penang is wassup youth Hostel. One must go there if visit to penang"

"Location wise is still good even though a bit far from Penang Road or Padang Kota Lama. Easy to find parking (and its free). Clean floor & bedding. Upon checking in, you’ll get new clean decent sized towel & blanket. Had toast for breakfast with variety choices of jam. Clean cutlery, glasses & cups. Very very very nice ambiance especially in the lobby area (tho a bit warm compared to the room). Plenty of space in the 8beds dorm room. So if u don’t like cramped dorm room, Tido is the best for you. Very stable bunk beds so do not worry if you have the upper bed. If you’re light sleeper, bring your own earbuds cause it might get a bit noisy from the outside. Staff friendly & you can just ask anything like direction & all. Overall very pleasant stay I’m looking forward to my next stay here. ^^"
